Forward Is the Only Way

Hello Reader,
I want to briefly talk about scaling. scaling is a term commonly used in business and simply refers to increasing your capacity to do more. When you scale, or come to scale, or are at scale you are doing the most you can with the resources you have for a specific purpose. Essentially you are meeting demand when scaling is done right. When scaling is done wrong you are wasting resources. This is because scaling is meant to be accommodating. But if you have nothing to accommodate and you just go to scale, increase your spend somewhere, buy a new platform, or do something that offers you the opportunity to do more, but you don't have more to do, you're not scaling you're wasting. Businesses can sometimes scale too soon or scale up too much too quick. This can look like hiring a bunch of tech people at the peak of the pandemic and then having mass layoffs for the following 2-3 years.
Companies brought on talent for the purpose of doing more, but when there wasn't more to do or the extra spend started eating away at their budget more than anticipated, they down sized. That's a common and personally relatable example, but there are other examples of scaling out there. The good news is scaling is more accessible than ever with AI. with the right AI tool you can scale your business in a way that meets the needs of your demand. The last thing i'll bring up here is that scaling is also necessity sometimes. Yes, you should be careful about how you scale, but also in some cases, the reason you endeavors have yet to take off, is because you haven't scaled. And if you have a small operation or are still self funding I can empathize with not scaling.
"Will it work? It's a waste of money. I've tried it before and I didn't get the results I wanted. After working the job I don't like I only have 50 bucks to my name, I can give it to some other company or that money can go towards me forget my problems for maybe 24 hours, and I rather choose the latter." I've said all those things and more to myself time and time again while growing Life with Ken. Decide whether or not you're serious about your endeavors and if you need to scale to get more clients, more followers, more subscribers, or more whatever, do what you need to do within your means to achieve the velocity you need. With scaling as is the case with a lot of things in life the purpose has to outweigh the pain and the only way you lose is if you quit, so don't give up.

This week we will be doing out Mid-year business review. We started doing mid-year reviews in June of 2024. We've been doing business reviews since 2023. Life with Ken is all I got. I have other things in the works as well, which I hope to branch off from Life with Ken, but telling my perspective, sharing my insights and building a future for myself; all of those hopes and dreams are in the hands of God and Life with Ken. I've been doing this for nearly six years now and i've taken it seriously for the last two years. I'v come to realize that if I don't try for myself no one is necessarily going to have something better for me. I remember thinking back in the day that so and so will call me and offer a good paying job just because. Or that tenor and merit mattered. Or that nuance is something that would be considered in my favor. None of that happened for me. It happened for people I know to a more or less degree, but no one has come knocking on my door offering me real opportunity. Life with Ken is my real opportunity. Without getting existential I hope you read our business review when it releases this week and I hope you consider partnering with us to achieve something great! Encouragement for Your Week
This week I want to encourage you to remember who you are. You are a spiritual being having a physical experience. You are more powerful than you can even imagine. You are a genius and you apply your wisdom. Get in front of a mirror and speak affirmations over your life. A good affirmation is an I am statement. Speak powerful "I am" statements over yourself this week. Don't be pulled down by things that are beneath you. You're not better than anyone you are on mission. If something out of alignment disrupts your mission firstly it's probably not divinely inspired and if it is, it's meant to propel you not hinder you. If you find yourself being hindered this week tap into the reservoir of truth about yourself and demonstrate why you are him or her. The demonstration will silence that chaos and establish your dominance. Be the fullness of what you are created to be, that's why you exist. Then go and or create places that allow for you to be the fullness of who you are, appreciate it, are excited about it, and can't get enough of it.

Hello Reader, I apologize for no roundup for last week and for this newsletter coming later in the day. Last week was a bit of a drag and by the time the weekend came not only was I still working on some content, I also had a meeting that I had to go to; which by the time it ended suggested to me that the content I was producing wouldn't have been done justice if I just rushed through it. I will highlight some content in the spotlight section, but first I want to unpack the significance of...
Hello Reader, I've said this in a different context before, however, since publishing Get Your Mind Right i've experienced clarity like I haven't before. I want to get past this point, but right now I am still processing and figuring out how to process the reality that I was gaslit for a significant portion of my youth. I don't want to peel back those layers in this way but you may be able connect with is that outside of a disability, there is nothing wrong with you. People, places, and...
Hey Reader, Show up. Every day. At work, at home, with you family, for you kids, for yourself; show up. I admit its easier said than done and sometimes expectations are better than realty. The difference between you, the person you want to be, and the person who wants to be like you, is how often you show up and give 100% regardless of anything else. Ken's Takes and Commentary We've been in transition for about a month with respect to this newsletter. I've decided to "democratize" my takes...
