Top of Mind

Hello Reader,

Don't forget to check us out on X (twitter) where I exclusively post my commentary on current events outside of dedicated content. We made this transition a couple of weeks ago and it's working well. There are some more logistics I want to work out but otherwise this is the direction we are on in this regard for the foreseeable future.

Last week we published our mid-year review for 2025. As Life with Ken grows as a business it's important for us to share that part of our journey as well. This way you can becoming more connected with our brand from that perspective and if you're interested in what it may take to build a business us being transparent in this way is a great way for you to grow and develop your own business aspirations. It's an important part of what we do right now, even if that means we have to create space to get it done. Here are a few of the key points discussed in the review:

  • Further website and experience updates on the horizon.
  • We will be rolling out a referral program soon.

Encouragement For Your Week

This week I want to encourage you to do your own [dirty] work. I'm not implying that you or I have "dirty work," it's simply a common saying that might fire off certain synapses for you. More broadly, there are laborious tasks in life that come with the responsibility of being alive. In a world where AI agents are popping up all over the place and automation is just one the latest buzz words, it can be easy to put off or forget some of the work associated with producing anything of note. Don't neglect to proof read your work, double check your deliverables, participate in criticism as the giver and receiver, and make sure you follow through on what's within your purview. Doing the due diligence to make sure that something is right and or up to a certain standard will set you apart, increase your value, and make sure that your work is well received.

Thank you for reading this week's Newsletter be sure to share us with your network. You can get in contact with me by responding to this email directly or here.

I hope you have a great week!

All the best,

Ken

July 21, 2025 Life with Ken Weekly Newsletter Put Your Mind to Great Things, Newsletter update, Spotlight

Hello Reader, I've said this in a different context before, however, since publishing Get Your Mind Right i've experienced clarity like I haven't before. I want to get past this point, but right now I am still processing and figuring out how to process the reality that I was gaslit for a significant portion of my youth. I don't want to peel back those layers in this way but you may be able connect with is that outside of a disability, there is nothing wrong with you. People, places, and...

Hey Reader, Show up. Every day. At work, at home, with you family, for you kids, for yourself; show up. I admit its easier said than done and sometimes expectations are better than realty. The difference between you, the person you want to be, and the person who wants to be like you, is how often you show up and give 100% regardless of anything else. Ken's Takes and Commentary We've been in transition for about a month with respect to this newsletter. I've decided to "democratize" my takes...

Hey Reader, I don't know how often this happens but it happens often enough for me to talk about it. Every once and a while I have an existential crisis with respect to doing this work. I place a high expectation on myself because despite certain limitations I know I have the capacity and ability to excel. When I feel like i'm not excelling it makes me want to give up. I rather not try or stop trying than to only be able to achieve mediocrity. I know things take time and I should practice...
