The More Things Change the More they Stay the Same!

Hello Reader!

I am happy to have had last week to allow myself to rejuvenate. I hope you were able to find rest as well. Over the course of last week, I found out that a friend and a family member are both getting married one day after the other. I'm only mentioning this because it's been heavy to contemplate. I"m just a little discouraged by the rate at which things can happen. Sometimes you can be aware of and or expect something, and still not be prepared for when that thing manifests; despite wanting and trying to be so. All i'm saying is I want to be part of the future too.

I made a Podcast appearance on Book Review 101 with Daniel Lucas, check it out:

Labor Day In recognition of Labor Day there will be no new content published the week of August 31-September 6, 2025. A reminder will be sent next week. Ken's Corner Among the things on my mind today and this week, so far, is the idea of if you love something you should let it go. It's a nice sounding philosophy but what are it's implications and is something...

Hello Reader, Over the weekend I learned about a concept that disturbed me immensely. That concept is "memetic desires." Memetic desires refers to a person's inability to individuate. A memetic desire is when a person takes on the desires of someone else. For example, let's say you have a goal or desire to travel and you tell someone or someone in your sphere of influence catches wind of your desire. all of a sudden that person espouses how they want to travel and go different places, even...

Hello Reader, I apologize for no roundup for last week and for this newsletter coming later in the day. Last week was a bit of a drag and by the time the weekend came not only was I still working on some content, I also had a meeting that I had to go to; which by the time it ended suggested to me that the content I was producing wouldn't have been done justice if I just rushed through it. I will highlight some content in the spotlight section, but first I want to unpack the significance of...
