Hi Reader, Ensuring you have other people to contribute to your success is crucial. Life is a group project. As much as you or I may want to do things ourselves, needing assistance from another human, on earth, is inevitable. That being said it's also important that you vet the people that you allow to influence your life. Everyone shouldn't be able to have a lasting impression on you. People come into your life for a reason, season, or a lifetime, don't mix up which person belongs to what category. And walk away from people who either no longer or never did lend themselves to your purposes regardless of who they are, this includes family and friends. Social Media Page Update Go Now! What I am Interested in This Week: DeSantis is Out
On Sunday Florida Governor Ron DeSantis dropped out of the Republican primary and run for President of the United States. This leaves on the Republican side only two candidates, Donald Trump and Nikki Haley, going into this Tuesday's New Hampshire primary. Despite DeSantis coming in 2nd in Iowa he has been lack luster in New Hampshire; and South Carolina which is the next state to vote is probably a bad bet for him. He made a video statement on X (twitter) endorsing Donald Trump. Nikki Hayley is looking for an upset victory in New Hampshire that will propel her forward as the race goes to her home state of South Carolina. The Democrats have decided to remove Biden from the ballot in New Hampshire and allow "South Carolina to go first." Democrats can still vote in New Hampshire Tuesday but the Democratic National Committee will be awarding no, 0 delegates to the winner of the primary (New Hampshire has 22). The DNC is calling it a rogue primary even though New Hampshire has voted first in every election since 1920. The DNC is doing this because they think Biden will have better odds in South Carolina overall in part because of SC's black vote. Biden surrogates have been advocating for a write in of Joe Biden on Tuesday however, but ultimately in my opinion theses shenanigans on the democrats' side beg the question why not just campaign in NH? More democracy improves democracy not less. Them not thinking Biden can win isn't a good look. The DNC has been coming after IA's and NH first status for decades because they say they are unrepresentative of their diverse party. But which is it, If the primary doesn't matter who cares who goes first? The fact of the matter is whoever wins the first competitions before Super Tuesday has a big advantage. Democrats want to stack the deck in their favor always, but especially because their candidate is displaying weakness this time around. But also the president is the president of the entire country not just the "more diverse" parts, whatever that means within the context of NH being a purple state, and the state with the largest independent voting bloc. Frankly the identity politics on the democrats' side can be seen as insulting to Black people, Hispanic people, and other minorities. If Biden win by write-in I wonder if the DNC will withhold NH delegates from him. As a reminder Dean Phillips, Democrat House of Representatives member from Minnesota, and Author and 2020 Presidential candidate Marianne Williamson, are both running for President as democrats and will be on the ballot in New Hampshire this Tuesday. Word of Encouragement This week I want to encourage you to try something different. Firstly different is in the air. It's a new year. New year new things. Secondly, sometimes different is what is required. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is insanity. Choose sanity this week. I was going to suggest that you try things differently, but sometimes it's better to make small adjustments doing things differently at less scale. Maybe try one thing, see how it goes, then try something else. You never know, God/the universe may surprise you. You may have one expectation but your willingness to try something different may create an opportunity of a better previously unforeseen thing to materialize. Have a courageous week! As usual it's a pleasure and an honor and feel welcome to reach out. |

Hey Reader, I don't know how often this happens but it happens often enough for me to talk about it. Every once and a while I have an existential crisis with respect to doing this work. I place a high expectation on myself because despite certain limitations I know I have the capacity and ability to excel. When I feel like i'm not excelling it makes me want to give up. I rather not try or stop trying than to only be able to achieve mediocrity. I know things take time and I should practice...
Hello Reader, Don't forget to check us out on X (twitter) where I exclusively post my commentary on current events outside of dedicated content. We made this transition a couple of weeks ago and it's working well. There are some more logistics I want to work out but otherwise this is the direction we are on in this regard for the foreseeable future. Hello Reader, I want to briefly talk about scaling. scaling is a term commonly used in business and simply refers to increasing your capacity to do more. When you scale, or come to scale, or are at scale you are doing the most you can with the resources you have for a specific purpose. Essentially you are meeting demand when scaling is done right. When scaling is done wrong you are wasting resources. This is because scaling is meant to be accommodating. But if you have nothing to accommodate...
