You Never Know

Hi Reader,

There is this interesting intersection between capacity, scaling up versus scaling back, win conditions, self awareness, and perspective. Grasping the meaning of those interactions within a given context can lend itself beneficially towards your decision making.

What I am Interested in This Week:

We Shall Respond

On Sunday a "Iranian-backed militia group" attacked a U.S military base, Tower 22, in Jordan on the edge of the Jordan, Iraq, and Syria border. This attack killed 4 US soldiers and injured 34 and counting (as this story develops). This attack is significant because this is the first time American soldiers have been killed in the region since the start of the October 7, 2023 Israel Hamas war. It's important to know that Hamas is backed by Iran along with several other proxies. The region and a fair number of people if not a plurality in the world sees the United States complicit in what appears to be a genocide against the Palestinian people living in Gaza. President Biden in a campaign speech Sunday said "we shall respond..." The administration is considering striking certain proxies in the area while at the same time containing the conflict and keeping it from broadening. Click here to read an article on this story

This past Friday the International Court of Justice ruled on South Africa's suit against Israel on the claim of genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza. The court ruled in favor of Israel not finding any evidence of genocide but they will continue to monitor the situation. They said that hostages held by Hamas should be returned and that Israel should be doing what it can to limit casualties. This suit came after reports from Gaza of 25,000 people being killed in the area. Some people are taken back by the fact that there was no ordered ceasefire by the ICJ towards Israel. There are also some reports of Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israel leaders saying their war campaign in the area can be expected to go on for the better part of this year if not into 2025. Prior to the "Iranian-militia group" attack on the US in the region, the US was engaging in talks with Israel and Hamas over another ceasefire and hostage exchange. Farmer Grievances

Over the last couple of weeks in Paris, France specifically, but across Europe in general farmers have been taking to the streets in protest against policies that are hurting the farming industry. Since this past Friday into today French farmers have been driving their tractors at a snail's pace from the south of France into Paris. This demonstration is meant to disrupt traffic and the farmers say they are ready and willing to keep the pressure on law makers. France and EU with their sustainability goals are putting constraints on the farming industry, is the claim from French farmers. These policies are causing wages to go down, cost of materials and fuel to go up, and profit margins to shrink. The French farmers want loosened regulations, and laws that will stimulate the industry. Click here to read an article on this story.

Word of Encouragement

This week I want to encourage you to give it a chance. Maybe you're entering a new season in your life, or maybe a new phase of a current season. Maybe a new proposition has come your way that you are actively uninterested in. I encourage you to give it a chance. Being pessimistic is easy. Finding the bright side or the good in something can be difficult and feel like a placation or cop out. Just give it, whatever that it is a chance. I'm not going to tell you to have hope or take hopium, however, you never know, what if this next in your life is a step in the right direction?

Have a great week!

All the best,

Ken

Hello Reader, Ken's Corner Towards the end of last week I had some technical difficulties. I feel like I've been having those. Since the top of this year everyone I've encountered has asked me, what am I going to do next? I get that question less often these days but I still feel the pressure. The problem is that everything that I come up with just feels or seems like something I don't want to do. I may be giving up on my future in some capacity. What I want to do is not have to strive and...

Hello Reader, Last week we didn't publish anything other than this Newsletter. The previous week we published everything but this Newsletter. I do hope to get on track in some capacity and not make this kind of inconsistency normal, however, this also reflects the season that I, Kenneth, continue to traverse, and therefore us Life with Ken. I'll pray about it but maybe i'll create something around a summary the events of this first quarter. I see a horizon but I'm still proverbially out at...

Hello Reader, Leadership Lessons This past Saturday we did not send a Weekly Roundup. I will be listing last week's content following this segment. The reason I chose not to do the roundup is because I had some more content to create to finish my content requirements, mainly January's Founding Member's content. This season has been one for the books at this point, but in January I didn't have a chance to create some timely founder's content. I thought to myself I would make it up this past...
